The New Face of Terrorism - Yours!

We're all terrorists now. Did you know?

You probably still think of a terrorist as a murky individual wearing a suicide vest or nursing a carrier bag of explosives to blow up innocent passengers on a bus or dancers in a nightclub.

How sweetly old-fashioned of you.

According to the Government, today's terrorists are those who question mass migration. Showing any concern about mass migration or the lack of integration by certain ethnic and cultural groups is a "terrorist ideology" that requires intervention by the anti-radicalisation experts of Prevent.

Ironically, this is the same Prevent that has failed to identify dangerous and violent suspects on multiple occasions including Southport killer Axel Rudakubana who was referred and dismissed on three occasions before carrying out his murderous attack.

This is slippery slope stuff. What next? Question any action or inaction by the Government and you'll be targeted by the thought police?

Silences freedom of speech

Are there really any citizens, regardless of their sympathy and support for individual refugees, who haven't questioned the scale, scope and speed of migration into this country? Do we have enough hotels? Do we have enough money? Can we build enough homes? Do we have the necessary infrastructure such as surgeries, schools, hospitals, roads etc?

Surely those thoughts pass through the brains of the most ardent migration supporters?

Even our Labour Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, with his excellent human rights credentials thinks uncontrolled migration risks turning Britain into an "island of strangers". Has he been referred to Prevent?

What worries me most is the lack of public outcry over this new attack on our freedom of speech. This is how totalitarian regimes build their power starting with small beginnings like this one and ending up with the Stasi watching your every step.

For anyone unfamiliar with the brutal reality of totalitarian regimes, can I recommend Anna Funder's brilliant book "Stasiland"?
